- Not released. OpenAI has published no announcement, model card, price or release date, and gpt-6.2-astra is not in the API.
- November 1–2, 2026: several Codex users posted usage breakdowns listing gpt-6.2-astra next to gpt-6-astra, while the model picker still shows GPT-6 Astra; other users don't see it.
- In every breakdown TestingCatalog saw, it appears only on October 31, at 1.6% to 37.7% of an account's usage.
- GPT-6.1 Astra was shelved on September 28, 2026 after safety and alignment tests; OpenAI launched GPT-6.1 Sol instead.
