Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash vs Seedance 2.5 vs MiniMax H3: Video Length, Resolution, Audio and Editing (2026)

Short answer

All three generate video with sound, and TeamoRouter supports all three with one API key. They differ most in clip length, resolution and how you edit:

  • Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash (Google, released November 5, 2026): 3–15-second clips at up to 4K, native audio, up to 6 reference images, and conversational editing that can extend a clip to 30 seconds. Google's price: $12 per 1M video output tokens, about $0.07 per second at 720p.
  • Seedance 2.5 (ByteDance Seed, July 31, 2026): up to 30 seconds in a single generation, with multiple rounds of extension, multi-shot storytelling, references and timestamp-based editing.
  • MiniMax H3 (MiniMax): up to 15 seconds at 2K with native stereo sound, and references that mix text, images, video and audio.

Rough rule: long single takes → Seedance 2.5; 4K or chat-style edits → Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash; 2K with stereo sound and audio references → MiniMax H3.

New accounts start with a $0 balance — top up before your first request. Top up from $5. If a request returns 402 (400 on the OpenAI format) with "wallet balance is insufficient", your balance is empty — your base URL and key are fine. Top up and retry.

Which one to use

  • A story in one take, up to 30 seconds: Seedance 2.5. ByteDance raised the single-generation limit from 15 to 30 seconds and built it for several connected shots in one clip. ByteDance is rolling it out in its Jimeng AI and Doubao Pro apps.
  • 4K output, or editing a clip by describing the change: Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash. It goes up to 4K, and Google's API lets you extend or edit a clip turn by turn.
  • 2K with stereo sound, or mixing audio into the references: MiniMax H3. MiniMax says H3 reads text, images, video and audio as one context. MiniMax ships it in its Hailuo AI app.
  • Cost per second matters most: Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash at 360p is about $0.023 per second at Google's price; compare the other two on our video models page.

Call any of them with one key

TeamoRouter's /v1/videos follows the OpenAI Videos API. Switch models by changing model:

python
import os
from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(api_key=os.environ["TEAMO_API_KEY"], base_url="https://api.teamorouter.com/v1")
video = client.videos.create(
    model="gemini-omni-1.2-flash",          # or a Seedance 2.5 / MiniMax H3 model ID
    prompt="A street musician playing violin in the rain, slow dolly-in, ambient city sound",
    seconds="8",
    size="1280x720",
)
print(video.id, video.status)

GET /v1/models?type=video lists every model ID and the durations and sizes it accepts. On TeamoRouter today, Seedance 2.5 takes 4–30 seconds at 480p, 720p or 1080p, and MiniMax H3 takes 5–15 seconds at 768p or 2K. Full reference: video generation API. Model pages: Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3.
