No BEP20 for USDT on OKX? The Cheapest Way to Pay for AI APIs from OKX (2026)

Short answer

OKX doesn't offer BEP20 for USDT or USDC withdrawals, and on TeamoRouter's checkout USDT is only available on BEP20 for orders under $10. So from OKX, the right route depends on the amount:

  • Under $10: pay in ETH on Ethereum mainnet, or move your USDT to X Layer and pay by signing with the OKX Wallet extension in a desktop browser.
  • $10 and up: USDT on ERC20 or USDC on Base. As of 2026-10-22, OKX charges 0.018 USDC to withdraw USDC on Base and 0.7 USDT for USDT on ERC20.
  • $30 and up: USDT on TRC20 is added, but OKX charges 1.5 USDT on that network, which isn't cheaper than ERC20.

OKX withdrawal fees

Read on 2026-10-22 from the public data behind OKX's withdrawal fee page. Only networks relevant to TeamoRouter's checkout are listed:

Coin Network Fee Minimum withdrawal Checkout offers it from
USDT BEP20 not offered by OKX — $5
USDT ERC20 (Ethereum) 0.7 USDT 2 USDT $10
USDT TRC20 (Tron) 1.5 USDT 10 USDT $30
USDT X Layer (USDT0) 0.0022 USDT 0.02 USDT paid by OKX Wallet signature, not through the checkout
USDC BEP20 not offered by OKX — $5
USDC Base 0.018 USDC 2 USDC $10
ETH Ethereum mainnet (ERC20) 0.00016 ETH 0.002 ETH $5

ERC20 fees move with Ethereum network congestion. On 2026-10-20 OKX charged 0.33 USDT to withdraw USDT on ERC20; on 2026-10-22 it was 0.7 USDT. Check the fee on OKX's withdrawal screen before sending.

What to use at each amount

Under $10

The checkout only offers USDT and USDC on BEP20 and ETH at this amount. From OKX you have two options:

  1. ETH on Ethereum mainnet. Choose ETH on the checkout and withdraw from OKX on Ethereum (ERC20). The fee is 0.00016 ETH and the minimum withdrawal is 0.002 ETH, about $0.38 and $4.8 at the 2026-10-22 ETH price of roughly $2,400, so a $5 invoice just clears the minimum. If OKX says you're below the minimum, create a slightly larger order, or use X Layer below.
  2. USDT on X Layer, paid with OKX Wallet. See the next section. It's the cheapest route, but it needs a desktop browser.

$10 to $30

  • Holding USDC: choose Base. At 0.018 USDC it's the cheapest of these options.
  • Holding USDT: choose ERC20 and check the fee on the withdrawal screen (0.7 USDT on 2026-10-22), or use X Layer.

Over $30

TRC20 appears, but OKX charges 1.5 USDT on it, and ERC20 is usually cheaper. On larger amounts the fee is a small share anyway, so use whichever network you're comfortable with.

X Layer: pay by signing with OKX Wallet

If your USDT is on X Layer, you can skip the checkout and pay with an OKX Wallet signature, with no gas:

  1. In OKX, withdraw USDT on X Layer to your own OKX Wallet address. The fee is 0.0022 USDT.
  2. Install and unlock the OKX Wallet extension in a desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave and others).
  3. Open the TeamoRouter top-up dialog, pick an amount, and click the link below the main button: "Have USDT on X Layer? Pay with OKX Wallet".
  4. Approve the connection and signature requests in the wallet. The signature only authorizes this one amount, and you don't need OKB for gas.

What each field in the signature request means, and how to fix common errors, is covered in the X Layer section of How to pay for the Claude API with USDT.

Paying through the checkout

  1. Open the top-up dialog, pick an amount and click Pay with crypto. Accounts registered with a phone number are asked to add an email first.
  2. On the checkout page, choose a coin (USDT, USDC or ETH), then a network OKX supports.
  3. The page shows an address and amount; the invoice is valid for 60 minutes. In the OKX app, go to Assets → Withdraw, choose the same coin and network, and paste the address.
  4. If OKX deducts the fee from the amount you enter, check the amount received before you confirm. It must be at least the amount on the checkout.
  5. Your balance is credited automatically once the payment confirms. Then create an API key.

Watch the network. BEP20, ERC20 and Base addresses all start with 0x, so OKX will let you send on ERC20 to an address the checkout gave you for Base. A transfer on a different network doesn't count as payment, so always match the network on the checkout.

Using the balance

One balance covers Claude, GPT, Gemini and other models, billed per token:

FAQ

I use Binance. Does this apply to me? No. Binance charges 0.01 USDT to withdraw USDT on BEP20, so just pick BEP20. This guide is for coins held on OKX.

Are crypto payments refundable? No. Start with a small amount.

My USDT is on another exchange. See How to pay for the Claude API with USDT; Binance, Bitget and others can withdraw on BEP20 directly.
